Wedding guests in ashoebi laughing on the 360 photo booth at a Freetown reception

Last updated: 7 October 2026

360 Photobooth Freetown is a 360 video booth service for weddings in Freetown and across the Western Area. Guests step onto a raised platform, a camera arm sweeps around them, and a 10 to 15 second slow-motion video is ready to share before they step off. At a Sierra Leonean wedding, where families arrive in matching ashoebi and the dance floor fills early, it gives every table a moment on camera, not just the bridal party.

What happens on the first visit

Most wedding bookings start with a message and a venue photo rather than a site visit. We look at where the booth will stand, how guests will reach it, where power and cover are, and how long you want it running. For larger venues or unusual spaces, such as a rooftop or a beach, we can walk the space with you before the date.

What a 360 booth adds to a Freetown wedding

A photographer covers the couple. A 360 booth covers everyone else. Aunties in matching ashoebi, the groom's friends from school, the cousins who flew in from London: each group gets its own short film, with music and your wedding overlay on it, to post that night.

That matters at Sierra Leonean weddings because guest lists run large, and a still photographer working the room cannot reach every table. The booth runs as a station guests come to, so coverage scales with the crowd instead of with one person's time.

The videos also do a job for you after the day. They are the clips people repost, which means your wedding hashtag, names and date travel with them.

How the booth works on the night

The setup is a round platform, a motorised arm with a phone or camera mount, a ring light, and a screen or tablet for sharing. Guests step up in groups, the operator starts the arm, and it circles them once or twice while recording.

Software then turns the clip into slow motion, adds your music and overlay, and produces a file ready for sharing by QR code or messaging. The whole cycle for one group typically takes under a minute, so a queue keeps moving even during the busiest part of the dance.

Power cuts, rain and space: the Freetown questions

Grid outages are part of event planning in Freetown, so the booth is set up with its own backup power. If the hall lights drop, the booth keeps recording, and guests often head straight for it while the generator kicks in.

Freetown averages about 4,400 mm of rain a year, and the rainy season runs from May to November. For rainy-season weddings, plan the booth under cover: a hall, a marquee or a covered terrace. Beach receptions at Lumley or Aberdeen work well in the dry months from December to April.

A 360 booth needs a clear, level circle of floor around the platform so the arm can turn safely. Plan for roughly a 3 m by 3 m space, more if you want a backdrop and a queue line. Send us a photo of the venue and we will tell you where it fits.

How booking a wedding booth works

  1. Check your date

Send your wedding date, venue and preferred hours on WhatsApp or the form. We confirm availability the same day where we can.

  2. Plan the details

Choose hire length, overlay design and any extras such as a red carpet or backdrop. We confirm the total in writing.

  3. Setup at your venue

We arrive before guests, build the booth, check power and test the arm and sharing so it is ready when doors open.

  4. Videos on the night

The attendant runs the booth all night and guests get their clips by QR code. After the event, the couple receives the full set of videos.

Wedding 360 booth questions

How many guests can stand on the 360 platform at once?

Most 360 platforms fit two to four adults comfortably, depending on platform size and outfits. Larger groups, such as a full line of bridesmaids in ashoebi, can record in turns or as a walk-on sequence. Tell us your bridal party size and we will plan the shots.

Can the booth run during the church or mosque ceremony?

The booth is best placed at the reception rather than during the ceremony itself. Most couples open it during cocktails or after the first dance, when guests are moving around and the queue builds naturally.

Can we use our wedding colours on the video?

Yes. The overlay is designed with your names, date and colours, and can include a hashtag. Send your invitation or colour palette and we prepare a design for you to approve before the day.

What if it rains on our wedding day?

Book a covered spot for the booth. From May to November, Freetown rain can be heavy and sudden, so a hall, marquee or covered terrace keeps the booth running all night.

What happens if the power goes off during my event?

The booth keeps recording. Every setup runs on its own backup power, so a grid outage at the venue does not stop guests using it while the venue switches to its generator.
